Life changes

OK, here's my big news...

I quit my job this week. I'm going to write fiction full-time!

Actually, I merely turned in my resignation. I'll be employed until Feb 14, and then I'll be FREEEEE!

Hopefully what that means is that I'll establish a disciplined writing schedule, stick to it, stay off the internet when I should be writing, and put out books faster than I could otherwise. I released two books in 2013. I'm hoping I can write four in 2014. Four books! I've never had this much time to write before. The chance is slim that I'll run out of books to write anytime soon. I've got a list of ideas for books that'll take me at least halfway through 2015.

Update: Here's my reddit post about this exciting life change!

Thank you! I'm really excited (and a little scared). It's something I've dreamed of for a very long time.

Thank you so much. I have been looking for a new writer to capture me totally, and finally after reading a whole load of horseshit beginnings to something I did not care to read anyway, I found The Kinshield Legacy. It is so good I regret any 5 star I ever gave to anybody, or wish I could give you 6 stars or more.

It is so well written, I drives you crazy insane, Gavin has just passed the Blacksmith on the road, and I had to find out if there were more books to the series. Bought all of them.

Keep writing, you are so gifted, it is so unusual to find a high class fantasy author. I love you. I love your book.

Best of luck, and a lot of books in the future from you. That is what I wish for you.

I have been reading fantasy since I expected my first child, who has been reading fantasy for more years now than I care to think about. We are veterans of Fantasy.
Your books are some of the best I ever read.

My daughter has not got a Kindle, I will bye them in paperback for her.

Hi Isabella,

Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the story! On the eve of my final day at my job, your reply was so very welcomed. Sometimes I worry that I'm too optimistic about my chances of earning a living as a full-time fantasy & science fiction author, but when I get an email or a reply like yours -- it fuels me and gives me hope that maybe, just maybe this'll work out. :) Thank you for that! So glad you're enjoying The Kinshield Legacy.

After four novels featuring Gavin Kinshield, you'd think I'd be tired of him, but I'm not. I'm more eager to move on to new stories than I am tired of Gavin. I'm working on a short story that tells more of the story of the Starfire Gem that he threw into the sea. Hopefully I'll have that done in the next month or two.

Anyway, thanks again for your wonderful note! I really appreciate it.

Thanks very much! I'm glad you're enjoying Gavin's adventures. He was a fun character to write about.

So far, I'm taking weekends "off," but that just means I write if I'm compelled to, or maybe make notes for myself to follow up later. :)
